Welcome to Strictly Come Data - Strictly recaps with a twist!

I'm Oliver, a Strictly obsessive with a love of both glitter and graphs. Saturday evenings in autumn are always booked out in my diary, and after years of shouting at the TV when the leaderboard doesn't add up, I decided to turn my obsession into something more useful - or at least more entertaining!

The blog came about from wanting to combine my two passions: Strictly and statistics. While most people are swept away by the sequins, I can't help noticing the patterns hiding underneath - the way scores shift, how certain dance styles affect results, and whether the public are really swayed by a high score (spoiler: not always).

My style here is a mix of analysis, trivia, and a touch of sparkle. Expect plenty of weekly breakdowns, leaderboard charts, and the occasional tongue-in-cheek prediction about who's safe and who's cha-cha-chancing it in the dance-off. The aim is to entertain Strictly fans while also giving a fresh, data-driven perspective on the show we all love.
